Itinerary
Day 1: ARRIVAL DAY
You'll need to organize your own flights to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). From JRO, we will arrange a private transfer to your hotel in Arusha. That night or early the next morning, you will meet your local Lava Tower Adventure representative and have a full briefing about your safari journey.

Day 2: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
You will be met by your private guide and vehicle and driven to Tarangire National Park, arriving with plenty of time for an afternoon game drive. The Tarangire River attracts a huge number of wildlife, especially during the dry season (June to October). You’ll witness large herds of elephants, buffalo, giraffe, and antelope, along with over 550 bird species, including the Kori Bustard, the heaviest flying bird in the world. The iconic baobab trees add to the park’s stunning landscape.

Day 3: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will take a picnic lunch and continue to the Serengeti National Park, a drive of approximately 4 ½ hours through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Serengeti is famous for its abundant wildlife, including great herds of buffalo, elephant, giraffe, and thousands of eland, topi, hartebeest, impala, and Grant's gazelle. Regardless of the season, the Serengeti offers spectacular game viewing.

Day 4: SERENGETI GAME DRIVE
Enjoy another day exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti, one of the world’s greatest game parks. Known for the Great Migration, the park features an annual movement of over two million herbivores, including wildebeest and zebra, between the Serengeti and Kenya’s Maasai Mara. After a day of thrilling wildlife encounters, you’ll head back to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day 5: NGORONGORO CRATER
After an early breakfast, you’ll visit the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world. Often referred to as "Africa’s Eden", the crater is home to over 25,000 large mammals, including the Big Five: buffalo, elephant, rhino, lion, and leopard. You’ll descend 610m (2000ft) onto the crater floor to experience an unforgettable safari extravaganza. After your game drive, we will transfer you back to your hotel in Arusha or to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey.
